SCHOOL OF THE AIR
The Alice Springs School of the Air is a fascinating visit for tourists while in Alice Springs. The School currently provides an educational service for around 120 children who are geographically isolated from any conventional education. These students live in some of the most remote parts of Australia and, in fact, the world. While these children gain every education they need in living off the land, droving cattle and in their own Aboriginal culture, the School of the Air provides the vital link for them to the outside world. The School of the Air visitor’s centre is open 7 days a week and ATG Downunder’s staff can take care of all of your reservations and inquiries.
